A
dogleg that doesn't play like it has any curve at all, hole #9 is a
great way to end the round on a high note. A strong drive into the middle
of the fairway gives you a good look at the wide, rolling green and
the pond to the right.
The
quickest way to the green on this hole may involve ignoring the slight
dogleg and staying to the left. But with Hawk Creek running along the
left side of the rough, and a thick row of gigantic trees separating
the fairway from an Out-of-Bounds (OB) area on the right, a straight
shot is the best idea. The pond guards the right frontside of the green,
daring you to challenge the pin placement.
Hole
#9 gives all golfers a chance to finish strong. So strong, in fact,
that you'll probably want to make the turn and play another 9 holes!
