Sheltered
by centuries-old trees, the green on hole #7 is the favorite of most
members. A relatively short hole, a strong drive to the middle of the
fairway will put you within 100-130 yards of a green that always has
favorable pin placements.
It
is important to stay in the fairway on this hole, away from the cluster
of trees and the Out-of-Bounds (OB) area on the right, and Hawk Creek
on the left. A well-placed sand bunker and a berm crowd the right side
of the fairway, while a sneaky sand bunker lies on the left frontside
of the green.
Hole
#7 is the most beautiful hole on the course. With a distinct fairway
in front of an immaculate green, you might want to play this hole twice
for the enjoyment and the score.
