If
you didn't get enough of Hawk Creek on hole #5, most golfers get to
cross it twice on hole #6. Starting from the elevated tee boxes,
the fairway follows the large pond on the left and Hawk Creek on the
right. A strong drive to the middle of the fairway will have you facing
Hawk Creek again, 200-250 yards out from the friendly green.
A
large Out-of-Bounds (OB) area keeps most golfers from trying to skip
both trips across Hawk Creek, although some will try it in scrambles.
With the pond looming large on the left, it's best to aim for the three
big berms on the right. But don't get too close to the edge, or your
ball might roll into the creek. With a lot of fairway to work with in
front of the wide green, you can recover quickly.
Challenging
and fun for any golfer, hole #6 is a great interaction with Hawk Creek.
Like #1, this can be an eagle hole for a scramble team.
